Hier können Kinder also in unmittelbarer Umgebung genügend Spielmöglichkeiten vorfinden. Ein ideales Haus für Familien, von dem aus man Ameland erkunden kann. Ganz im Norden von Ballum liegt Haus La Gaviota in einem sehr weitläufig angelegten Bungalowpark. Kennzeichnend für diese Unterkunft sind das sehr helle Wohnzimmer und der schöne Garten. Alle Zimmer befinden sich im Erdgeschoß. Im modern eingerichteten Wohnzimmer befinden sich eine gemütliche Sitzecke und ein extra großer Esstisch. Die Küche ist nicht sehr groß, aber mit allem Notwendigen versehen und in der Nebenküche stehen Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine. Es gibt drei Schlafzimmer, alle mit zwei Einzelbetten. Das moderne Badezimmer hat eine Dusche. Um das Haus herum gibt es einen Garten mit einer großen Wiese zum spielen und mehrere Terrassen und Sitzplätze, sonnig und schattig, mit einer kühlenden Brise oder in der prallen Sonne. Im Park gibt es verschiedene Freizeitmöglichkeiten, darunter ein Tennisplatz und ein Schwimmbad (dafür ist eine Familiendauerkarte vorhanden!). Der Park grenzt an ein großes Dünennaturschutzgebiet, das den Norden Amelands bedeckt und das kleine Dorf Ballum liegt ungefähr einen Kilometer entfernt.

The former fishing village of Makkum lies close to the 't Friese Koetshuis holiday home. A popular location for water(sport) enthusiasts. The rustic wooden beams, artistic lamps and its rural location turn the 't Friese Koetshuis into a unique holiday home.
